ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE WOBBLING MAMA IN YOU

So, who would've thought that I could take a silly website name and turn it into a bible study? After naming and creating my website I turned to the bible to see what God has to say about wobbling. Here are the verses I found.. DONT JUST SKIM OVER THEM spend some time with them, swish them around in your brain a bit, look them up in your bible APPLY them.
Psalm 37:23-25The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.  <<LOVE>>
Psalm 116:8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Proverbs 24:16For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. <<Keep getting up!>>
Jude 1:24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. <<We may wobble but HE is able to keep us from falling!>>
Proverbs 3:21-26My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
John 11:9-10Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. <<We won't stumble if we walk in the light!>>
Job 4:4Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. <<His words hold us up and strengthen us when we are wobbly (feeble)!>>
Psalm 37:24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psalm 63:8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. <<Lord, help my soul follow hard after you!>>
Isaiah 41:10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. <<Love, love, love>>

WHY WOBBLING MAMA WHY??

Why?Why the weird name? There are a few thoughts behind the name.
-Firstly, I knew it was going to be a Weebly site and WobblingMama.weebly.com is a pretty cute name. So I went with it.

-Secondly, if you will shift your focus slightly down and to your left you will find the definition for wobble..and it fits. (hoping to change the shaking like jelly part REALLY soon!)

-And lastly, along this walk through life I do have a true north, that is my saviour Jesus Christ. I do my best to stay focused on Him, and to steer this ship in a direction that is pleasing to him no matter what life may bring. However disappointing it may be though, I do wobble from time to time. My focus shifts, I falter, I fail, I make mistakes, I learn from them, God changes my course at times too, closing doors, opening others and nudging me in one direction or another. I long to be honest and transparent with you through this wobbly walk of life.  We all wobble from time to time. I want to be honest and transparent about it, and in doing so, possibly bring you the encouragement, laughter, hope, and grace you long for. And perhaps we can even lift eachother up along the way.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Ecclesiastes 4:10

New Year, New Blog, New Goals!

Wow! That's alot of newness! Happy 2012!
New Blog
I decided to start this blog to have my own little place for my ideas, things I love, and to share my wobbly walk through this life with anyone who might be interested. Maybe that's you, maybe you'll read this post and never again return, but my hope is that whoever visits here will leave with something positive added to their lives. Whether it's a new idea, encouragement, or just a laugh! (I can be funny sometimes!)

Goals for 2012
Ooh..goals are scary to me! If I set a goal there is always that creeping possibility probability that I will not reach my goal,  which in turn leads to that ever frightening "F" word...FAILURE! But, as a wise (and slightly wacky) man once said, "If you don't know where you are going, you'll probably end up somewhere else." Lewis Carroll  So, with that in mind I am going to share my goals with you, in hopes that doing so will bring an added element of accountability and decrease the probability of the "F" word..so here goes!
-Lose 25 lbs.
-Become better organized with my time and household
-Go to bed earlier
-Wake up earlier
-Have DAILY time with God in the morning
What are some of your goals? Are you brave enough to share them with me?
Or are you too afraid of the "F" word? Come on take a leap of faith with me!
